Dr. David Rudiak has a Bachelors Degree in
Physics and a Doctor of Optometry from the University of
California, Berkeley plus graduate training in biophysics
and neurophysiology. He has done scientific research and
published papers on brain wave recording to visual stimuli
and stimulation of the brain with magnetic stimulators. He
has also taught math and computer programming in the public
schools.
In Ufology, his main area of expertise is the alleged
Roswell saucer crash of 1947, which he has been studying
since 1994. His interest was originally sparked by
consistent witness descriptions of crash debris having
highly anomalous physical properties, such as lightness
coupled with great strength and heat resistance, plus
unusual memory properties.
However, his
primary topic of discussion at the 2009 Roswell festival
will be the so-called “Smoking Gun” of Roswell. Known
commonly as the “Ramey Memo,” this was a message
accidentally photographed in 1947, held in the hand of Gen.
Roger Ramey as he was trying to debunk the Roswell incident
as a weather balloon. In the last 10 years, this message
has been enlarged, scanned, and enhanced by various people
and casts new insight on what really happened at Roswell.
(Hint: The key words are “VICTIMS” and “DISC”)
In another talk, he
will discuss how the military ran a debunking campaign of
the new flying saucers both immediately before and after the
Roswell incident. With numerous flying saucer reports in
the New Mexico/Texas area, the same General Ramey was
already debunking flying saucer reports over a week before
Roswell blew up, comparing them to stories of sea serpents
and “Buck Rogers stuff.” After Roswell, the military
admitted to running a saucer debunking campaign which
involved various weather balloon demonstrations. This may
also be alluded to in Ramey’s memo as part of their cover-up
plans.
Dr. Rudiak’s own
work on Ramey's memo was presented publicly for the first
time at the Ozark UFO Conference in 2002, the Aztec UFO
Conference in 2005, and was featured on the 2002 Sci Fi
Channel special on Roswell.
In 1994 at the
Ozark UFO conference, he also presented his scientific
analysis of the so-called “Nellis UFO,” an anomolous,
multi-lobed craft captured on video in 1994 by military
cameras on the Nellis Range near Las Vegas.
His Ramey memo and
Nellis work can be read in great detail at his website,
RoswellProof.com. This also includes large collections of
eyewitness affidavits, Roswell debris descriptions, UFO
sighting reports in New Mexico for the summer of 1947, over
100 related newspaper articles from the period, plus much
other historical UFO research.
Time permitting, Dr. Rudiak will also discuss
a short encounter with Gen. Wesley Clark in 2004 in which he
asked Clark if he had ever been briefed on UFOs. Clark
dropped several broad hints about his knowledge of UFO
reality, including Roswell.
